**get errors from last boot:**

journalctl -b -1 -p err
```

## error: systemd-journald fails to start or restart

*unexpected error while following the journal -24.*

check current values.

```

Increase kernel inotify limits to values appropriate for Kubernetes nodes:

```bash

echo "fs.inotify.max_user_watches=1048576" | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf
echo "fs.inotify.max_user_instances=1024" | sudo tee -a /etc/sysctl.conf
sudo sysctl -p
sudo systemctl restart systemd-journald
```
